WHY EMCARE?

Each year the number of people who die prematurely from Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is roughly equivalent to the number of those who die from Alzheimer’s disease, assault with firearms, breast cancer, cervical cancer, colorectal cancer, diabetes, HIV, house fires, motor vehicle accidents, prostate cancer and suicides combined!  Though we are blessed with superior EMS and hospital service in our communities, sadly most SCA premature deaths occur well before emergency services arrive. Immediate on scene action including CPR and the use of an available AED is imperative if we are going to give all those who need it a “second chance at life.”

Founded by EMS and ER nursing pioneer Frank Poliafico RN, Emcare has been bringing lifesaving skills instruction “the way it ought to be taught, learned, and given” to students throughout the country and around the world for 40 years. Emcare’s goal is to help save “hearts and brains too good to die.” Our unique and engaging teaching approach has proven to be extremely effective ̶  students have fun as they learn and often thank us after class! In addition, our curriculum will be tailored to suit your organization’s particular needs. Should you desire a more comprehensive curriculum, we can easily incorporate an Emergency First Care module, which focuses on the management of medical emergencies and injuries other than cardiac arrest until EMS arrives.

We welcome the opportunity to propose a plan to bring these much needed skills to your organization. We offer traditional instructor led classes as well as web based CPR/AED training (through our partners at Emergency University). Our pricing is very competitive and classes would be held at your location, or a local community room, at a time that best suits your needs.
